A LIITLE BACKGROUND

Anyone who looks like this and drives a Buick can only provide fun, eh!

For the past 6 years Joe rented out a camp site at Bergen Springs Resort in Bergen, Alberta, Canada! Located about 1 1/2 hours (if you follow the speed limit!) northwest of Calgary. It made a great little spot for us to enjoy a fire, beverages, and the great outdoors! Anyone who came to Bergen had a blast! Recently this year (2001) Joe lost his site and we had to close the Bergen chapter in all of our lives! This web site is nothing but a scrapbook of all our memories from Beregn, and definitly for monkeyboy!(Joe)


THE SITE!



Joe's site was super easy to find! If you couldn't hear all the noise, the ragin' fire would light the way! Much like your typical camp site, Joe had made modification to make it better for all of us! Flower box, patio lights, and landscape lights lite up the campground showing everybody the good times that we had!


THE TRAILER!



This is Joe's Trailer! It was great to pass out in, sorry, sleep in! Always warm (often too warm & reeking of... beverages!), provided shelter from good old mother natures mood's, and housed the fridge in which all our beverages got and stayed cold! Empty "beverage" bottle's and poster gave the inside a real nice relaxing feel! (not that we ever took the time to notice it!)


THE BERGEN RITUAL!



Some may say that this ritual is a little bit stupid, but none the less it was required to be done by every who stayed at Bergen! What we call "pucking the fire" (remove p and insert f!) involved an individual placing themselves over the fire, taking the Molson Canadian serving tray, and proceeding to fan the fire! Just look at the motion and facial expression and you can see why we give it the name that we do!

THE LAST NIGHT

Well how did we spend our last night in Bergen? The usual way, good friends, snack foods, and a whole lot of "drinks"! The last night also provided a first for all of us at Bergen, we drank through the entire night! From sun set to sun rise!
